m & e

These two little cuties were full of smiles and kept me running through the dunes trying to capture them! I had a great time photographing them and lots and lots of favorites shots!

j,c and duke - summertime

These ladies are so easy to photograph. It only took us about a half hour to get a ton of great shots. I think they turned out great in spite of the fact that it was about 90 degrees and the sun was beating down on us. Next time we will wait until the sun starts to go down a little.

baby evers

Isn't such a baby anymore. When did my baby get to be five years old?

I was a little disappointed in these photos. I think I shot them with too much light reflecting off the dunes - most of them were incredibly washed out. I didn't get the perfect "Evan" shot that I wanted either. I can see it in my head - he just wasn't into getting his picture taken by me. I will have to think up some good bribery and try again another time.

He wouldn't let me photograph him at all unless I took one of him making this face. I don't know why. Oh, to be five again....

mirabel & mommy

Last weekend I got the chance to once again photograph my favorite little one year old! Little Miss Bel is the squirmiest baby that I have ever held and on top of that - she is newly mobile on two feet! She is extremely curious and getting her to sit still and smile was not easy. She loved her first experience on the beach of our glorious lake and seemed to be fascinated by the sand in her hands and toes. Fortunately for me, she loves listening to her mommy sing her favorite songs and that stops her in her tracks as she laughs and claps along.

Blog note: These photos are not in the order that I had intended. For some reason I can't move them around right now and it is driving me CRAZY!

I love the ones of Mirabel and Mommy walking on the beach. The first photo I think would also be cool in black and white but I also think all the colors are pretty amazing.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her little fingers on Mommy's face! In color or black and white?

Sweet little sandy feet. This photo is a little awkward, but like I said - the girl is on the move!

I love these last four shots. Just an adorable little girl in all her sweetness! Come back soon!

wino

I don't know if I like the color version or the black and white better. The color shots have a uniform sepia tone to them, just by the nature of the photograph....hmmm.

just for fun...

This was an assignment in my photography class and I found that I really enjoyed it. I would much rather take photos of people, but I have to admit it was kind of nice to not have to worry about smiles and making kids sit still.

I am thinking of maybe blowing some up for the wall...
